Improve Your Writing with AI

AI is a tireless editor: it never skims and never lets a typo slip through from fatigue. But it has blind spots. Knowing what it catches — and what it misses — makes you a better writer.

Edit in layers

Don't ask it to "fix everything." Go in passes: first spelling and grammar, then clarity, then tone. Each pass is sharper, and you keep control over what changes.

Sample promptProofread this text in three passes: 1) fix only spelling and grammar, 2) flag confusing or overly long sentences, 3) tell me whether the tone stays consistent throughout. Don't rewrite without flagging it.

Have it hunt your writing tics

We all have crutch words and repeated phrasings. Ask the AI to spot repetitions and overused formulas. It's a valuable mirror on your own habits.

Beware over-correction

Edit too much and the AI smooths your style until it's gone. It also doesn't know your proper nouns, your jargon, or your deliberate choices. Keep the final say: accept what improves, reject what flattens.

👀 What it misses: AI validates form, not facts. It won't notice a wrong figure, an incorrect date, or a misspelled client name. Checking the data stays fully human.
